Wheat what a subject the oldest commodity of the entire complex, the staple, the core of humanity I will be using wheat as a soapbox for my take on politics and commodity prices. Commodity pricings have variables like all trading instruments but none is more influenced buy Washington politics than Wheat N.A.F.T.A., corporate Welfare, and farming bill manipulation. When a good trader stands on commodity a floor or stairs at his screen, they have a hierarchy of vix. In their brain and right at the top above weather, above supply and demand is the government’s policy decisions.
How much corporate welfare is the government going to throw at the crop, how little of government regulation will there be allowing corporate and individuals to scam, how much wheat is the government going to dump on foreign economies and change foreign farmers.
If you are selling wheat in Canada or Russia or anywhere else you know that it is the U.S. policies in regard to foreign shipments that set your price and has very little to do with your areas supply and demand and, or your areas weather patterns.
The game has changed big time over the past three decades N.A.F.T. IN 94 was indented to give American farmers more access to foreign markets. Like the insurance industry like the banking industry the biggest of the big or the best individual farmer in the art of scamming for government farm welfare has benefited. It has become a game not about good farming but about good navigating and scamming government programs. This can be said about all farming in the U.S.
As a commodity trader or investor YOU KNOW THIS. The population dose not knows this.
