CFL is an adaption of CFOP to FTO. I first presented this idea in July 2024 in the FTO server. Click the link above to view the dedicated site that provides a detailed guide for the method.
Steps:
In the first step, the F, BL, and BR hexagon centers are solved. This also automatically solves the edges of the U layer.
After the centers are solved, the three triples of the first two layers are formed and inserted. The pair formation techniques, pseudo slotting, corner control (CFL's edge control equivalent), and other adaptions from CFOP can be used in this step.
The final step solves the last layer. The recommended two step version is to solve the side triangle centers in one step then to solve the corners in the second step. There are other interesting ideas, such as OLL then PLL, making use of corner control during the last triple to ensure a PLL only ending every solve. 1LLL is also possible, with 377 algorithms.
