I've talked in the FTO Discord server about a few ideas for Baby FTO. I will detail just a couple of them on this page.
Transferring Nautilus FTO to Baby FTO essentially becomes First Layer > CLL. But I did develop a set of steps that naturally follow those of Nautilus FTO. The goal of course should be to solve the first layer in the best way possible for the scramble, but these steps provide a simple way to get started. Step 1: Solve a "first block" at the bottom left.
Step 2: Solve the last corner and centers of the first layer.
Step 3: Solve the last layer corners.
I also adapted Bencisco to Baby FTO. It follows a similar set of steps, ending with a similar technique to the last three triple formation that is done on FTO. Below are the steps:
Build a first layer minus the side centers.
Form three pairs. A pair is a corner and a center.
Put the pairs into place.
An example solve is provided. There are two versions. One is from the same perspective as Bencisco on FTO and the other is the original example that I provided in the FTO Discord server where I used R as the main working layer for pair formation. It seems that the pieces need to be in a specific type of orbit for proper pair formation to work. In the example solves an additional move is added to achieve this just before finishing the first step. This move is the first L' in the first example and the first U' in the second example. Additionally, there are likely some special cases during the pair formation step that need to be handled differently.
