And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. Colossians 3:14-16
1.
To form our children's minds, hearts, and souls in the image of Christ in all we do; to watch for God's gifts in the students and call them out in order to build the body of Christ; to instill joy and wonder for God's creation in all forms of our study; and to offer both challenging core academic and enriching elective classes that will enhance each student's high school home studies.
2.
To create a culture of life and innocence. In order to do this, we encourage the monitoring of all types of media that students enjoy. Be aware of the message each form of media is bringing to your students. In addition, recognize that ASSG families have varied levels of exposure to media. Our goal is that we protect the students' innocence and purity at ASSG by protecting their eyes and ears. This begins with conversation with adults and will flow into what we encourage and discourage in students' conversation and recreation.
(Please refer to the Catechism of the Catholic Church [particularly paragraphs 2517-2527] for more insight into our goals and desire to pursue a life of pure and modest behavior. The Catechism is available on the web site of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. <www.usccb.org/catechism>)
3.
To build a Christ-centered community among the students and to encourage member families in the Godly building up of our families.
