MY DRUM SPEAKS THE VOICE OF HELLEN KELLER
Hellen Keller was born in Alabama in 1880 with the ability to see and hear. At 19 months old, she contracted an illness that left her deaf and blind. Later in life she became a world famous author, political activist, lecturer and first deaf-blind person to earn a bachelor of arts degree. She was also well traveled and outspoken in her convictions. On June 1, 1968 she died at the age of 87.
