MY DRUM SPEAKS THE VOICE OF MAHATMA GHANDI
Born in India in 1869, Mahatma Ghandi was raised in a Hindu Merchant Caste family. After receiving his law degree in London, Ghandi first employed nonviolent civil disobedience as a lawyer in both India and South Africa, representing civil rights for the indian community. Although he was imprisoned for many years, he continued to protest against inequality and violence. Ghandi was also well known for fasting, not eating to make his point. He was assassinated in 1948.
