671030- F4B Lost to own AIM-7

On 30 October, An F-4B Phantom of VF-142 "Ghostriders" was shot down by their own AIM-7-ELEVEN Sparrow air to air missile over North Vietnam. Pilot LCDR H.P.Lund and LTJG J.R. Border were both recovered.
