You no longer get XP for using skills. Instead you get skill increases which may be spent at a menu as loot, rare drops from killing enemies, and as quest rewards. This is to encourage the player to actually go do things; no matter what you do in the increase-by-usage system, it is always better to grind skills in dumb and tedious ways. Therefore I have scrapped the entire system in favor of my new one. When drinking potions of insight, you get points that may be spent at the skill of your choosing, with each point awarding 2 increases to skills below 25, 1 increases to skills 25-50, half an increase 50-75, and one third an increase for 75-100. Since this makes sleeping useless, sleep now gives a fairly important stamina/magicka regeneration boon.
The leveling curve is now different, requiring twice as much XP to level from level one, but a bit less towards the later levels. Cap is still ~81. This change is intended to limit the player’s perks a bit in the early game but I also felt that, since you get multiple increases at once for low level skills, your levels shot up too quickly.

Training is still possible but limited to 1 per level.
