Junior conferences offer the chance to discuss post-secondary plans, along with addressing any questions you and your student have regarding next steps after high school. We will discuss post-secondary options, criteria to consider when selecting colleges, admission criteria, a summary of the application process, essays, ACT/SAT, using Naviance Student, timelines for junior and senior year, and any other resources that can help with the college process. We will also answer any questions you may have at this time.
You will meet in person for a 60 minute scheduled conference with your student and their school counselor. We will be using SignUpGenius to facilitate the scheduling of Junior Conferences. Time slots will be during the school day, so please consult your child to find out what best fits with their schedule. We also highly recommend discussing post-secondary plans with your child before the meeting, so as to prepare for the conference.
