The Awards & Scholarships Night is a special event dedicated to recognizing the outstanding achievements of our students in grades 9-12. We celebrate academic excellence, leadership, community service, and more through various awards and scholarships.
Awards for Grades 9-12:
Shorewood High School is proud to honor the academic excellence and hard work of students in grades 9-12. Each year, awards are given in the following core academic areas:
Mathematics
English
Integrated Health
Social Studies
Science
These awards are given to students who have demonstrated exceptional performance in their respective subjects. Nominations for these awards come from teachers.
Senior Scholarships (Grade 12):
Senior students (Grade 12) are eligible to apply for 30 different scholarships to help support their post-secondary education goals. These scholarships are intended to offset the cost of tuition, books, and other educational expenses.
Eligibility Criteria for Senior Scholarships:
Academic achievement
Participation in extra-curricular activities
Demonstration of leadership skills
Community involvement
Students are either nominated by teachers or apply directly for these scholarships. The application process will be explained in detail, including deadlines and the necessary documentation.

FEBRUARY 17, 2025 - APPLICATION CLOSES
APRIL 7-11, 2025 - WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED AND INVITED TO AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIP NIGHT
MAY 15, 2025 - AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIP NIGHT - SHS AUDITORIUM

Student Applications:
For scholarships and certain awards, students can apply directly. Ensure that you meet the eligibility requirements, gather necessary documents (such as essays or letters of recommendation), and submit your application by the deadline.
