Distance Learning Policies (to see the policy in its entirety, please see District Policy 332.4):
● Distance Learning coursework is taken at educational institutions outside of Shorewood School District and must first be approved by the Shorewood Curriculum and Instruction Director
● The cost of the coursework and any associated costs (textbooks, proctors, etc.) is the responsibility of the family
● Upon completion of the course, a final transcript must be turned in to your school counselor prior to the start of the next semester
● All courses taken outside of the Shorewood School District will be reflected as pass/fail on the Shorewood School District transcript
● Students must complete coursework with a “B” or better and maintain a “B” average in the subsequent coursework. If a “B” is not earned or maintained, please connect with your student’s school counselor quickly to create a learning plan.
● A maximum of six credits may be accumulated via distance learning. All applications will be reviewed by a team that may be comprised of the following individuals: Principal, School Counselor, Psychologist, Teacher, and/or Director of Instruction
