Our goal is to create an accessible and informative space for all PGRs and staff to explore the challenges of navigating disability. This event will provide comprehensive information on the support available across campus for both staff and PGRs. Additionally, we aim to address and combat the stigma and fear of disclosure within the disabled PGR community.

The logo for the Removing Barriers conference represents the challenges we face in life that can act as obstacles, preventing us from reaching our goals and progressing. These difficulties might bring us down, but the logo stands for the moment we rise again and continue moving forward.
The logo for the Removing Barriers conference represents the challenges we face in life that can act as obstacles, preventing us from reaching our goals and progressing. These difficulties might bring us down, but the logo stands for the moment we rise again and continue moving forward.
The design features different shades of purple, ranging from blue to pink and lilac. Purple, from a colour psychology perspective, is associated with balance and stability. The lilac at the end of the design symbolises calm and hope for the future.

Additionally, purple is unique because it doesn’t exist on the visible light spectrum; it is created by combining other colours. This illustrates that, like purple, we grow and succeed through collaboration.
