Co-creating for Social Value: A Toolkit for Digital Inclusion Networks
Funder: Research England, Higher Education Innovation Funding
This important project builds on the 12-Principle Framework developed from the findings of the British Academy policy insight case study. The findings from the case study recognised that social value is an intangible asset, and therefore difficult for digital inclusion networks to measure and evidence. Yet evidencing social value can strengthen funding bids and help to demonstrate impact to policy makers.
This project will work in partnership with Rural Action Derbyshire (RAD) to co-develop a toolkit that will be an instrument for digital inclusion networks to:
Better identify, capture, and articulate their social value to funders and policy makers
Self-evaluate and improve their practices by following the 12-Principle Framework.
Co-creating the toolkit with RAD, and other digital inclusion networks, will ensure that it is reflective of their work in local communities and test-proofed by in real world settings.
This project will start in February 2026.
