As a team, we have worked in the digital inclusion sector with various partner organisations, both nationally and internationally. We know that many resources and support systems, including those providing health and wellbeing support, have moved to online platforms. Our research aims to better understand how people make use of these online services and what barriers to access may contribute to digital poverty. There is an increased risk of digital exclusion for some of the most vulnerable in society. Digital inequalities risk further isolating these marginalised groups. Our research has helped inform UK policy briefs on digital inclusion and decision-making at county and mayoral levels to improve digital access for all.
