One-time Financial Assistance to 140 Scholars Project
This financial assistance program is a testament to Sacred Heart College’s commitment to education and its dedication to supporting students in achieving their academic goals. SHC looks forward to celebrating its 140th anniversary by empowering the next generation of leaders and scholars.
Purpose
The purpose of this financial assistance is twofold. Primarily, it aims to commemorate the 140th founding anniversary of Sacred Heart College by providing support to 140 deserving students. Secondly, it seeks to increase enrollment by making education more accessible and affordable to students across various levels, from Kinder to Graduate Education.
Award Value
The value of the financial assistance will vary depending on the fees associated with each program and department. However, the total amount allocated for the 140 scholarships will not exceed 1 million pesos. The assistance is intended to cover tuition fees for the academic year 2024-2025.
The value of the financial assistance is a fix value to be received by the 140 scholars which would not exceed to a total amount of 1 million pesos. The assistance is intended to cover tuition fees for the academic year 2024-2025.
Duration of Financial Assistance
The financial assistance is a one-time award applicable for the academic year 2024-2025 to be directly deducted from the tuition fee.
Eligibility of Applicants
Applicants must be new enrollees for Grade 1, Grade 7, Grade 11, First Year College and First Year Graduate Education Students at Sacred Heart College of Lucena City, Inc.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need. In the absence of an Income Tax Return (ITR), a Certificate of Indigence must be provided.
Applicants must have a good academic standing, supported by their grades.
Applicants must possess a good moral character, attested by a certificate from a previous or current institution.
Applicants must not be recipients of any other major scholarship or financial assistance for the academic year 2024-2025.
Terms and Condition
The financial assistance is non-transferable and cannot be converted to cash.
Any falsification of documents or information will result in the disqualification of the application.
Application Procedure
Applicants must secure and accomplish the application form from the Registrar Office and/ Admission and Guidance Services Office expressing their interest and need for the financial assistance.
Required documents include the latest grades, a certificate of good moral character, a certificate of indigence or a copy of the ITR, and a recommendation letter from the principal, program head, or Dean.
All applications and supporting documents must be submitted to the Registrar Office and/ Admission and Guidance Services Office beginning May 2, 2024 and not later than May 31, 2024.
