ROLIZ Bakery and Coffee just opened its doors on August 8th. It’s located at 208 E 2nd St, right behind HEB.
This spot is perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth or in need of a chill hangout. You'll find a variety of delicious desserts like cake slices, muffins, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and more.
They also serve breakfast, drinks, and ice cream, making it a great place for any time of day. You can even order custom pastries or desserts.
I visited with a friend, and it's the perfect place to relax, catch up, or even get some work done. The Wi-Fi is a major bonus: you can bring your laptop or snap some cute pics.
The aesthetic makes it totally Instagram-worthy, perfect for anyone’s vibe. Whether you're with friends, your partner, or family, Roliz Bakery and Coffee is definitely worth checking out.
It's a completely family-run business. During my visit, I had the opportunity to interview the owner and lead baker, Sonia Aldrete Rangel. Rangel told me the origin of the name "ROLIZ."
"My son's name was Rogger, and his girlfriend's name was Liz; they sadly passed away in 2012,” she said. “ It's a way to remember them and keep them present in this family business."
She revealed that although she doesn't plan to open more locations in the future, she would like to expand her menu.
"I plan to add new recipes for winter, such as champurrado, hot chocolate, and seasonal dishes."
Rangel, herself, prepares each of the desserts and food sold at the bakery.
"I've been baking for a long time, and it's something I enjoy doing. I get help from my family—my husband, children, siblings, and nephews."
Visiting ROLIZ Bakery and Coffee was a wonderful experience. It's a place to relax and enjoy a sweet dessert. The Nutella Cinnamon Roll and Matilda's Cake are absolutely delicious. Come and check out this new business in the city.
