My name is Madelin Arsate, but I prefer to go by Maddie. I am currently a sophomore at Del Rio High School.
My interests are writing, photography, and listening to music. I enjoy writing because I can express myself and write happier endings for the things that, in reality, haven’t been so happy. I also appreciate that photography allows me to share my perspective with other people through beautiful pictures. Lastly, listening to music often brings some much needed peace and calm to my everyday routine. It is odd, literally just words and a beat can have such a strong effect..
For the future, I have a lot of different plans. But, one thing I know for sure, I want to go to The University of Texas at Austin, become a Texas Longhorn, and graduate from the school I have dreamed of for as long as I can remember. In this time or after, I want to become a published author with my own fictional book series. It may seem crazy and overambitious, but it’s what my heart is set on. Hopefully, I will have the time and means to travel the world, documenting my journey through writing and taking pictures. I know that journalism now, with Blue Ribbon Rams, will help me get closer to accomplishing my goals for the future.

My name is Carmen Aldrete, and I am in 11th grade.
In my free time, I cook and play the guitar. Ideally, I would like to graduate early and attend a good college. After this, I plan to attend college to be a lawyer, so I defend people to make sure they have the support they need to avoid harsh or unnecessary punishments.
I was inspired to join Blue Ribbon Rams because I'm interested in what occurs on campus and how everything works. I am especially interested in athletics at Del Rio High School, and I want to help other students learn more about what is going on around us and in the world.

My name is Faith Haley, and I am a junior.
My interests are always changing, but right now, my main interests are writing, digital media, and collecting:
I collect figures from various shows and other miscellaneous items that catch my interest. Additionally, movies and shows fascinate me because I love to see the variety of stories that can be told through cinematography and digital mediums.
Finally, I enjoy writing and putting my thoughts and ideas onto a paper and out into the world. I am especially inspired by older literature. In fact, my personal favorite book is “Frankenstein,” by Mary Shelley.
As of now, my plans for the future aren’t exactly what I’d call, “solidified,” but they are slowly getting there. I will be graduating this year with the class of 2025 and getting my GED!
After this, I will be attending college to earn my Bachelors in Business Management with minors in English and Finance.
