The RIDR Program at UCSF offers an 8-week summer research opportunity for high school, college, and medical students to work on basic science, translational, or clinical radiology projects under the mentorship of faculty from the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging. The program emphasizes diversity, supporting students from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds, including women, LGBTQ individuals, and those with disabilities or socioeconomic challenges. Participants complete a research project culminating in an abstract for the department’s Summer Students Symposium, with opportunities to present at conferences or contribute to manuscripts. First-year medical students are strongly encouraged to apply; prior RIDR funding recipients are ineligible.
