The Olin Fleischer Scholars Program (OFSP) provides a week-long educational experience for first-generation college-bound students or students from low-income households. This program is designed to help students learn about business, build teamwork and presentation skills, and prepare for the college admissions process. This program is designed to prepare students for the college admission process and learn about business and entrepreneurship.
Learn about academic and career opportunities in business.
Study with Olin Business School faculty and interact with current WashU students, staff and alumni.
Visit St. Louis area companies and interact with company executives.
Build leadership and communication skills.
Find out more about the college application process and financial assistance/scholarships.
Draft and revise a resume and a personal statement for college.
Develop a business idea with a team and present to a panel of judges.
Experience campus living at Washington University with other high school students.
This need-based program opens up a world of opportunity to high school students by exposing them to the importance of a college education in achieving business and entrepreneurship success.
The Olin Fleischer Scholars Program is open to:
Students with limited financial resources
Students from underrepresented populations
First-generation college students
Preference given to student in the Midwest region

You are required to submit the following in order to apply for the program:
Resume, including any activities, skills, and honors (including interests, student organizations, and community involvements).
Two short essay questions (Maximum of 300 words each):

What do you hope to accomplish and learn as a participant in the Olin Fleischer Scholars Program?

Two Recommendations:
One recommendation must be from a high school counselor/advisor
Recommendations must be submitted by the application deadline. Please be sure to give your recommenders plenty of advanced notice.
