UC Davis Young Scholars Program
The UC Davis Young Scholars Program is a prestigious six-week residential research experience designed to immerse 40 high-achieving high school students in the exciting world of original research within the biological, agricultural, environmental, and natural sciences. Participants collaborate closely with UC Davis faculty and research groups in state-of-the-art laboratories, working on individual projects that culminate in journal-quality papers and symposium presentations. Alongside research, students gain exposure to the dynamic culture of university life, preparing them for their first college experiences. This transformative program fosters intellectual growth, research skills, and a passion for discovery.

Program Length:
Six weeks (June 22 – August 2, 2025).

Cost and Financial Aid:
Program Fee:
$7,500, covering housing, meals, program activities, and five units of university credit.
Application Fee:
$40 (waivers available upon request before the application deadline).
Fee Reductions:
Substantial need-based fee reductions are available, potentially covering up to 90% of the program fee. Reduction requests are reviewed separately after admission and are not part of the program application evaluation.
