The mission of the National Student Leadership Conference is to provide a safe and supportive environment that encourages students to explore their academic and career interests while developing leadership skills essential for their success.
Since 1989, the National Student Leadership Conference has invited a select group of outstanding middle school and high school students to participate in its fast-paced, high-level, interactive summer sessions. Join us this summer to experience your future.
NSLC is a truly unique experience that stays with you long after the program ends. NSLC allows you to explore a future career path before you get to college, helping you make more informed decisions about where you’ll go and what opportunities you want to pursue.
All programs also contain leadership workshops that strengthen your natural talents no matter what career path you ultimately choose.
Students come to our programs from all over the world, meaning you’ll leave with a new network of friends who share your interests and goals. Plus, NSLC is a great extracurricular activity to list on college applications, and you’ll be able to draw on the academic experiences you have at our program when it comes time for your admission essays and interviews.

The NSLF attempts to assist as many students as possible. The majority of scholarships, which are based on financial need, academic merit and school OR community involvement, are granted in the range of $500-$1,000. All applicants must be able to demonstrate financial need.
While the scholarship committee takes into consideration extenuating circumstances such as recent job loss, illness, and injury, the average scholarship recipient demonstrates financial hardship or is from a low income household, has an excellent academic record, and is highly involved in their school and community.
Maximum scholarship awards will not exceed the cost of tuition less the deposit. The vast majority of scholarships awarded will be $500-$1,000.
Students must be enrolled in a Summer 2024 program with a deposit placed in order to begin a scholarship application. If a student is denied a scholarship, or if the scholarship award is insufficient, the deposit will be fully refunded upon cancellation.
The NSLC does not expect scholarship applicants to continue making monthly tuition payments as they await award notifications. After completing the first step of the scholarship application, monthly payment dates will be automatically frozen until after the award notification date. Students are only required to place an initial refundable deposit before knowing if they have received a scholarship.
