Enrichment Programs

Welcome sCHOLARS!

During the summer between your junior and senior year, instead of attending summer academy with SEO, you will participate in an Enrichment Program (EP) with an outside organization. SEO works with about 50 different programs, and they fall into the following three categories: Academic, Experiential, and Professional Internship.

EP's are the first step in your college journey. Not only will you complete rigorous applications similar to the Common Application, but you will participate in programs that will make you a more compelling applicant. This year, you will research various programs, hear from scholars who have participated in programs in the past, and narrow down your programs to your top 3 preferences. SEO will nominate you to apply to an enrichment program, and you will complete a rigorous application that may include uploading your transcript, completing essays, requesting teacher recommendations, and providing your financial documents. 

Keep in mind that all EPs are very competitive and there is a possibility that you will not be accepted. This is why you will be nominated to apply for 2-3 separate programs. You will also have the option to preference a program that you research and find on your own, but SEO will have to approve it. 

Because you have invested three years of your life into SEO, SEO is going to make an investment in you by supporting your EP program this summer, both through the application process and financially. However, that means you will need to meet the expectations placed on you as an SEO scholar, including attending all programming and communicating consistently with your PM.
