Rubrics are measurement tools that can be used to assess a variety of assignment types, such as clinical evaluations, multimedia assignments, discussion boards, projects, or research papers. They are tied to course learning outcomes, and provide specific descriptors to students concerning what is expected and assessed for a particular assignment.
