Dear Brain Fitness Basics Students,
We hope you enjoyed the online class on Introduction to the Brain and that you had time to watch the recorded session, explore the complementary videos, review the presentation, and complete the quiz. We hope this first lesson has given you a strong foundation as we move into our next topic: Neuroplasticity.
📌 Three Interesting Facts about Neuroplasticity
The brain can rewire itself at any age. Neuroplasticity allows new connections to form between neurons, meaning learning and growth are possible throughout life—not just in childhood.
Practice strengthens brain pathways. Every time you repeat a thought, behavior, or activity, the brain reinforces the connections involved, making it easier and more natural over time.
Lifestyle shapes the brain. Activities such as exercise, sleep, nutrition, and continuous learning have a direct impact on how adaptable and healthy the brain remains.

We will also take time to address any questions you may have about BrainHQ. Hopefully, everyone has already begun practicing with their BrainHQ exercises. If you do not yet have a license, please let me or Professor Erika Peralta know as soon as possible at eperalta@sdccd.edu
We look forward to seeing you in class, sharing ideas, and continuing to strengthen our brains together. Wishing you a wonderful rest of your weekend!
