FYI:  Here is a great link for the Top 50 Best Science BooksAny book about Richard Feynman (the famous physicist) would be awesome too. He was an amazing individual. Check out his Messenger Lectures at Cornell University on the right.

Isaac Asimov was a profound and prolific science writer as well.  If you hunt any of his old books down, they all should be simply terrific. I personally own: Asimov's Chronology of Science & Discovery (to which I also still need to read!).

Earthrise

Watch this video on the left. It's amazing.

Earthrise tells the story of the first image captured of the Earth from space in 1968. Told solely by the Apollo 8 astronauts, the film recounts their experiences and memories and explores the beauty, awe, and grandeur of the Earth against the blackness of space.

This iconic image had a powerful impact on the astronauts and the world, offering a perspective that transcended national, political, and religious boundaries.

Told 50 years later, Earthrise compels us to remember this shift and to reflect on the Earth as a shared home.
