You will actually use it, indirectly or directly, practically every day. How, may you say?! Science has shown studying and learning math simply allows you to develop your logic centre of your brain... meaning, you BECOME better thinkers and problem solvers. Now who doesn't want that!
Ya, it can be... but at the end of the day, it just takes putting in the right kind of work to learn it. The rewards you get by doing so are amazing.
Say Challenge Accpeted. Allow yourself to succeed. Be patient.
Generally, students that find difficulty:
are naturally nervous (which is totally ok btw) or tend to have an unfavourable attitude towards it (typically all students quite enjoy math; they just struggle with having not a lot of success with it at points)
do not pay attention in class (is your phone a distraction, anxiety, etc.)
avoid to practice and review what they learned in class
because they do not do their homework or show enough steps (which causes small mistakes - which then may result in being super close to getting the right answer and realizing they are so close to getting it right!)
they do not ask q's and seek assistance, whenever needed.
and resort to use advanced calculators or fancy apps, which prevent understanding because something else is doing it for them. These things are not effective.
