Math can be Easy and Fun. As cliché as it may sound, you just have to believe first you can do it.
I totally want you to do well in this class. Give me the opportunity to assist you in any way, as I want to support you on your math journey here. The big tips I have for you just these five.
1. Come to class and be prepared to work,
2. Do your homework (it’s actually just practicing),
3. Stay positive (duh!). Seriously - attitude is everything,
4. Ask questions (which I really appreciate) and participate in a positive way, and
5. Lastly study in advance (not just the night before).
Math 10 can be a challenging course, as students typically are challenged for the first time. However, this course is extremely rewarding when you put your time and a bit of heart into it.
Know I am always here to help.
Students that do well at math, simply do the review, finish their homework, ask questions where they are having some trouble, or even come for a bit of extra help if needed. Shocking, I know!! It's actually a lot of fun for them when this occurs too! :-)
The material we cover can be found in the course outline which will be provided the first day. I also highly encourage for students to explore the websites on the right!
By committing both to working hard and taking the above steps, students will do quite well in this class. The is no reward without effort. Ya gott'a do it to know it. Action causes motivation.
