Ms Mullings 8-9

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing ok and staying safe. The math 8/9 students are already in Khan Academy and we have been using this as the main classroom tool for math literacy. Students can carry on with this on a daily basis. Students have been able to access this on their phones so its a useful activity if computer access is limited.

I have also created a google classroom for math. Please ask your child to log in and answer the important simple posted question so that we can see who is connected. This will be very helpful. Many have done this already.

I will be posting an update every day in the google classroom stream and the learning will continue to unfold in the classwork section of the course. The students are familiar with this interface. We will be completing the curriculum as normally as possible. Quizzes and tests will take place using google classroom.

Optional math tutorial sessions using google MEET will be held most days 10am - 10.30am where I will focus on questions on the main topic we are learning about. The link will be posted in google classroom. Ths is a great way for us to connect as a leanring community and students can access through their phones or laptops. It is highly recommneded if students can join in. However, it is optional as not all students have easy access and I am also available to support students via email. The classwork can all be done though google classroom/ khan academy. The tutorials are extra support for learning. The first one will be on Thursday 2 April at 10am - 10.30am.
