Birthday and Gift Policy

BIRTHDAY and GIFT POLICY

We do not reserve time to celebrate birthdays at school and encourage them to remain personal to family and friends outside of school. If you choose to have your child’s birthday acknowledged at school or if you would like to give a gift to your child's class, you may do so in the following manner:

• Donate a book to the school library or classroom in honor of your child’s birthday with his/her name inside and birthdate.

• Have your child bring their favorite book to share and the teacher or child will read it to the class.

• Donate an educational game, ball or jump rope to the classroom for recess.

• Have your child choose a favorite song or a special talent to share with the class.

If you are sending in party invitations to be distributed at school, please send in enough for the entire class or all the boys/girls so as to avoid hurt feelings. Please inform the teacher through email if this is going to occur and give the invitations directly to the teacher for the class and she will distribute at the end of the school day. If you are limiting your party to only a few friends, please distribute invitations outside of school.
