English Biography Lesson 1

English

In this lesson we will practice writing sentences for our historical biographies using a variety of sentence starters.

Lesson 2

Shared Reading

Michael has a better chance of survival if he obeys Kensuke.

What reasons did we think of for and against this argument during our discussion?

* Have a go at filling in the plan on the slides with two points for and two points against the statement.

* Try to include evidence/examples from real life or the text to support your points.

* Conclude your argument by stating which side you agree with and why.

Day 3 - Wednesday 10th February

To continue with our day of celebrating a whole half term of home learning (well done children and parents!), we will be challenging the students to a live quiz and enjoying a lot of fun maths games together to practice our multiplication, division, fractions and telling the time.

At 1:30pm we will be having a live session with the author of Kensuke's Kingdom, Michael Morpurgo.

This will be streamed on a private YouTube link. There will also be a chance to ask Michael some questions and enter a competition!

Each child will have 2 minutes to share and then a minute of feedback from the class mates. This will be such a special event to end the half term on!
