Maths
This week we have been measuring in centimetres and metres.
Have a look around your house and measure some objects as you can in centimetres. Remember to estimate first and then see how close your estimate was.
In Project next week we will begin our Water Cycles posters that we will display at our Virtual Exhibition. We will be doing sketching and painting to create them.
Ms Cashin has been trying to make her own poster but she found the sketching and painting difficult. This is what she said:
"I am very bad at art. Some people are good at it, like Mr Santhanam, but I'm not. I keep making mistakes. I can't get better at art so I am just going to give up."
Questions to discuss:
1) Do you think Ms Cashin is right that you can't get better at art?
2) Have you ever felt like Ms Cashin when you get something wrong?
3) What advice would you give Ms Cashin to help her feel better and try again?
