In Public Safety, students are prepared to enter careers in law enforcement, emergency services and law and justice and any level of governmental public service. Students will be shown how to enter careers at the federal, state and local levels.
Certifications include first aid and CPR, AED, and Federal Emergency Management Agency certs.
Students enter the three-year pathway in the 10th grade. There are two instructors with similar emphases and approaches. Mr. Jones' series is a three year pathway based on the Linked Learning Pathway model, similar to 7 of SBHS' pathway stands. Mr. Battle's series is a California Partnership Academy.
