Students in marching band meet during 8th period 3-4 days each week. These students learn an instrument or two that are used in marching band performances, like drums, cymbals, horns, wind and reed instruments, and even xylophone. Students in marching band also participate in extensive student-leadership activities.
Marching band students are ambassadors for SBHS in the community and throughout Southern California. Students perform at events, parades, sporting events, and ceremonies. Students often wear marching band uniforms to their performances.
