Senior College Planning Materials

Seniors,

Please make use of the resources provided here to structure your college-planning.  We will be working with you throughout the school year to ensure that you are able to successfully complete the application & financial aid processes.

1. General Strategy: Create a "portfolio: of five or six colleges/universities to which you would like to apply




2. Invite your parents to attend college-related presentations



3. Records Release & Transcript Request Forms - must be completed before we can send transcripts

10. Student Athlete? - Register with NCAA Eligibility Center to participate in either DI or DII athletics.



11. The Financial Aid process begins with FAFSA.  Students and parents are able to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in December of 2023.



12. Begin your scholarship search by registering with scholarship organizations and monitoring the  scholarships listed in Naviance (available in “waffle” of school gmail account).

Note: The “Local Scholarship Process” begins in March



13. Participate in "ApplyNH" - November 15th, 2023

Students receive expert assistance from knowledgeable volunteers (college admission counselors, school counselors, The NHHEAF Network Organizations’ Center for College Planning counselors, etc.) in submitting their college applications. Students can ask questions, receive essay feedback and have their college application(s) reviewed before submission.     

     *2023 Date - November 15th

     *All NH college/universities application fees waived

     *Chance to receive a $500 scholarship

     *Registration will open in mid October

Early decision plans are binding: A student who is accepted as an ED applicant must attend the college.

Early action plans are nonbinding: Students receive an early response to their application but do not have to commit to the college until the normal reply date of May 1.
