Career Exploration

Students are encouraged to keep their School Counselor informed of their current career interests.  School Counselors meet with each student to review relevant course offerings annually, however keeping your School Counselor informed of your current career interests will help to inform the college or career placement process during Senior year.

MHS currently makes use of two Career Exploration online subscriptions in their work with students:

   - Naviance - introduced to 9th grade students as part of career planning curriculum

Students access within the "waffle" of their school-issued Gmail accounts

Naviance also contains a wealth of college resources and is used to request transcripts

   - Career Cruising - introduced to 10th grade students as part of career planning curriculum

Students are encouraged to continue using these resources throughout their high school career (and post-graduation).

After identifying a career area of interest, students are encouraged to use the MHS Personal Pathway Planning system below to identify those courses offered at MHS that most directly relate to their intended career field:

You may begin this planning system by clicking on the "Career Cluster" that is most interesting to you below (then click "next")
