Dual Enrollment &

"Running Start"

Milford High School and Applied Technology Center has joined with a number of colleges within the state to offer Dual Enrollment College/High School Credit courses.

Dual Enrollment and Running Start Programs allow high school students to be simultaneously enrolled in a Community College course while attending their connected high school course.  The courses are taught at their own high school by specific high school teachers approved by the participating college.

This dual-enrollment program provides students with both high school and college credit for these courses. College credits may be used towards completion of a degree, diploma, or certificate at the participating community college, or may be transferred to other colleges and universities throughout the country. (Please note that the determination of transfer credit is at the discretion of the receiving institution.)

Participating students will have a transcript at both MHS and the participating college.  Student must request their college transcripts separately and directly from the participating college.

This program provides for significant savings (currently $150 per course) over the same course offered by a college.  Students may enter college with a number of college credits already earned.

Students receive registration information from their MHS teacher at the beginning of the semester.
