Impact Aid Forms in your Period 2 class. Only 48% of parents have completed the Federal Impact Aid Survey online in the Parent Portal. Teachers are distributing paper forms to students - please take them home, have your parent/guardian complete and return it to your Period 2 teacher by Friday.

A big thank you to parent/guardians that have logged into the Parent Portal and completed forms online!

Juniors & Seniors: Mentor Monday is today at lunch! Meet Lee Miller, Technical Writer & Instructional Designer at Highbury Defense Group, in the Wellness Center Conference Room.

Registration required. Lunch provided + T.R.E.A.T credit.

Attention 10th-12th graders: Need some help figuring out your strengths and potential future careers? The ASVAB exam is coming to Mission Bay High on Friday, February 6 during periods 6 and 7. This test will help you to identify what you're good at and learn about potential options after high school. This free test is not pass or fail. Click here for more information and to sign up. Submit art to the Hope and Justice Contest – Entries due January 31, 2026

Use your story and creativity to help parents and adults understand what young people truly need. Create a film, podcast, artwork, or TikTok for the Hope & Justice Art and Film Contest for a chance to win prizes up to $300. Share what you wish adults knew about suicide warning signs, life as a young person, and supporting youth mental health. Film Screening of a Chicano Love Story in the Mission Bay Auditorium

The love story of the Chicano Movement in San Diego told through the lives of Linda and Carlos LeGerette who played a pivotal role in helping advance the cause of the Mexican American community in the cities and in the agricultural fields of California.

SDEA One-Day Strike February 26 - What you Need to Know

SDUSD will honor the SDEA strike and close schools on February 26, 2026. Closing schools for one day will ensure that students are not placed in situations where adequate supervision, instructional continuity, and campus safety cannot be reliably maintained.

The make-up date for classes will be on March 9th to ensure students receive the instructional time and services to support their success.

Submit a short film to the Directing Change Film Contest – Entries Due March 1, 2026

Use your storytelling skills and creativity to make a difference by creating a short film for the Directing Change Program & Film Contest. Submit a film about mental health, suicide prevention, or substance use, to inspire hope, support and positive change in your community. Entries are due March 1, 2026 – cash prizes up to $1,000 and statewide recognition available for winning films. More details can be found on the Directing Change website. ACES TUTORING - Open before and after school in the Library! Every Monday through Friday in the mornings from 7:30 - 8:30 and every Monday through Thursday in the afternoons from 3:30 - 5:00. We have teachers across all subject areas to help you!

TREAT is held everyday at lunch please report by 1:30 Students can make up a tardy in the auditorium with Mrs. Filamor or with a participating teacher.

MB Wellness Center is available to students as a safe space to reset, relieve academic stress, and get resources. For more information you can get a 5Star pass and stop by Room 154 to see Mrs. Cota.
