ACES Tutoring is now open before and after school in the Library! Every Monday through Friday in the mornings from 7:30 - 8:30 and every Monday through Thursday in the afternoons from 3:30 - 5:00 we have teachers across all subject areas to help you!

On August 16th our Coast Guard JROTC had a chance to volunteer with the Cutter Eagle. Cadets helped with tours and resupplying the ship and enjoying a lunch on board the nations Tall Ship. The ship is used to train Coast Guard Academy Cadets sailing, navigating , and as a public affairs tool.
Attendance is now using 5 Star to check students in for being tardy. You can use your physical ID card or your digital ID card to check in. For athletes being released early for games, your pass will be issued in 5-Star. Load the 5-Star Student app on your phone.
Art Club - Are you creative? Do you want to have some time during the week for exploring your own artistic self expression? Join ART CLUB! ALL students are welcome! All skill levels are welcome! The first Art Club Meeting will be Tuesday August 26th at lunch in Room #232. Hope to see you there!. Ms Henkes
ASB Card Sales:
ASB Cards can be purchased for $35 outside the ASB room on Fridays at lunch. Your ASB Card "sticker" will appear on your 5 Star app or your can get a physical sticker on your school ID. We accept cash, checks written out to Mission Bay High School, and NOW Apple Pay and Credit Card (4% service charge)
Hoco Tix sold Thurs and Fri THIS WEEK ONLY!!! Because prices go up next week and we have a strict sale cut off at the lunch bell, we are opening ticket sales on Thursday this week too! Don't put it off; waiting until the last minute is not an excuse to extend the $75/$85 price. Ticket prices go up on Fri 8/29 at 1:54pm (lunch bell) NO EXCEPTIONS. We are now taking credit cards (with a 4% service charge) but the credit card machine is not always functioning so have a back up plan (cash or check made out to Mission Bay High School). Again, prices go up after lunch this Friday, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

Freshman Tailgate on Fri 8/29: Attention Freshmen!!! Join your friends and Link Crew Leaders at the Freshman Tailgate before our 1st home game this Friday. Meet at the PE blacktop at 6pm for tailgate games, face paint and more. Free entry to the game for all freshmen who attend and enter with their Link Crew leader.
Mandatory Club Officer Meeting: Attention Club Officers!!! If you lead a club that plans to fundraise, you MUST attend a MANDATORY Club Fundraising Meeting held every Tues at lunch in the ASB room through September and then the 1st Tues of the month after that. The meeting will start promptly at 1:30pm and will last about 10min. If you are late or miss the meeting you will need to attend the following week. The district has updated some requirements and the paperwork is new. Your fundraisers WILL NOT be approved until you attend this meeting.

LCFF
Thank you to all of the families that have completed the LCFF questionaire for 25-26 school year. Printed forms were sent home with students for families that have not completed this 2 question survey online in their Parent Portal or via the email survey sent out by the district. PLEASE RETURN THE COMPLETED FORM ASAP OR COMPLETE IT ONLINE. We need every family to complete this task to help support our school funding.
LCFF is critical data used to support funding for our school and the school district to allow us to provide services and resources for your children. Families are asked to complete this 2 question survey for EVERY student EVERY year. We thank you for your continued support!
Parents can submit LCFF data through the PowerSchool Parent Portal using their own accounts. This form is not accessible through student logins. Job aids are available in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese to assist families with the Parent Portal process.
Tuesday, August 26th 10AM - We will be hosting our first ELAC (English Learner Advisory Committee) meeting for 25-26 school year. We will be meeting in our counseling conference room. The committee is comprised of parents, staff, and community members designated to advise our site on English learner programs and services. Please join us.

Thursday, August 28th Back to School Night - Activities start at 5:15 with music from our student musicians and a message from Dr. Brown. Counseling support will be available for Parent Portal, college supports and other resources available to students. Classroom visits will start with the first bell ringing at 5:55PM. Attendance Tips
Reporting Absences
Parents can report absences by email: missionbayattendance@sandi.net or Phone: (858)536-0136, Press Option 2
Include: student name, your name and relationship to student, date(s) of the absence, reason for the absence and your phone number. Attendance records can only be cleared within 5 school days.
Picking up your student Early? Students leaving early must have school authorization by way of a Blue Slip to exit campus.
Please make every effort to call or email at least one hour before expected dismissal time. If you know in advance, you can send a note in with your student to get dismissed early.
IMPORTANT: Failure to get a Blue Slip before leaving campus will result in a truancy. Parents/guardians may not call to clear a truancy after the student has left campus.
