For section D, it's time to draw the elevations of your walls using Google Draw. Section D of the Inspection Record only has 2 inspections that you need signed off.Â
All scale models are required to be built using the a scale where 1 foot is represented by 1 centimeter. Therefore, when we draw using Google Draw, we will be working with centimeters, not feet. Precision is key. Your wall, window, and door dimensions must be exact. Also, your window and door placement on the wall must be exact. Don't forget to label your walls (plot # goes first and then the letter you assign to the wall).
Not only should window and door dimensions be exact, but also where the windows and doors are positioned on the wall. Remember, when building a wall, the wall must be placed in the upper-left corner of your Google Draw document. The variable x represents the distance from the left side of the wall to the start of your window/door. The variable y represents the distance from the top of the wall to the start of your window or door. Don't forget to group the different components of the wall!
