Congratulations to making it to Phase 2 of your project (items D and E on your Inspection Record). During this phase, you build your scale model house. The first step of this phase is to build your walls on Google Draw. During your floor plan design, you decided on how wide your windows are, but you probably didn't give much thought on how tall/high your windows are. As you transfer your floor plan to Google Draw, you will now decide on your window height. You will also decide on how high your window is from the ground. Transferring your floor plan to Google Draw is a critical phase of the project. The laser cutter will use your your Google Draw document to cut your walls. You must be 100% accurate and precise with your measurements!!! It is important that you double, triple, quadruple check your measurements!
After your finish your Google Draw document and pass inspection, you have to wait while your walls get cut out by the laser cutter. During this time, you can begin to draw your setbacks and perimeter of your floor plan on your scale-model lot. Once your walls come in, it's time to hot glue gun them into place. Remember, perseverance and hard work will pay off. We are all a team, so don't be afraid to ask for help!Â
