Your house MUST include a kitchen, at least one bathroom, and a space for a bed. It makes sense to also have a space where you are going to have a tv and a couch. Some houses have separate rooms for eating, sleeping, and watching tv. Houses that have one room for eating, sleeping and watching tv are called studios. You get to choose whether or not you want separate rooms in your house.
When designing the floor plan of your house, you do need to work within some parameters. The list at the end of this page has minimum room dimensions. For minimum hallway widths, number of required doors, and door widths, please see the Fire Code section of this site.
