Rough Draft Floor Plan

For section B, you are going to now focus on your building(s). Section B of the Inspection Record has 4 inspections that you need signed off. It is very important that you put a lot of thought into how your floor plan is designed.

1. Choose a type of graph paper to use. We recommend that you use 1/10" graph paper. 

2. Choose a different scale than the one you used when you worked on "Lot and Building Footprint." 

3. Draw just your building(s) to scale. Label the exterior perimeter dimensions. Do NOT draw your property lines or setbacks.

4. Draw interior walls that divide your different rooms. Label lengths of all interior walls.

5. Label all of your rooms (Kitchen, Bedroom, Bathroom, etc...). Make sure your rooms follow Room Requirements and Fire Code.

6. Don't forget that you need a ratio table for section B of the Inspection Record.
