Operoo

The Operoo app is a parent-controlled electronic permission and medical form option for schools, clubs and other groups with a duty of care. It is an electronic version of the paper-based forms once used for excursions, camps, etc.

At St Augustine's we use Operoo for the following:

  • Camps, excursions, incursions and all permission related events for students

  • Correspondence - emails and important documents from the Principal, Deputy Principals and Community Leaders

Parental Access Module (PAM) - Please see further information under 'Technology'

PAM is the parent portal of the school's electronic operating system. Parents can log in with their unique code to view general school information including daily messages, upcoming events and timetables. You can also access due dates for assessment tasks for all students from Foundation to Year 12. This portal is also where parents access students' reports. Parents are provided with an unique personal access code once the student commences at the College.

Teacher Advisors (TA)

TA teachers are the 'first point of call' for parents and students. Their immediate concern is the pastoral and academic progress of the student. TAs are responsible for attendance records and as a conduit for information about the student between parents, other staff and the student themselves.

Students from Foundation-Year 8 have a teacher within their learning space as a TA. Year 9 students are assigned a TA who stays with them until the end of Year 12 to optimise the building of relationships between students and families.

TA interviews are conducted two times each year at a time that is mutually suitable for students, families and staff. There is an expectation that families attend these meetings. At these meetings goals are set and reviewed.

The program acts as the single most important vehicle to foster a positive relationship between student and teachers. Teacher Advisors serve as coaches, mentors and role models. The focus is on building a relationship between student, parent/carer and teacher with the aim of supporting the student holistically and academically. The Resilience Project is facilitated by the TA teacher during morning TA sessions.
