Staff Bios

Hi, my name is Kayla Black and I am a sophomore.  I am excited to participate in journalism this year. Outside of school I enjoy working out, playing volleyball, listening to music, and taking naps. I joined journalism this year to try something new. I hope this year's newspaper is successful and helps bring together the school community.

Hi! My name is Emma Blackburn and I am a junior. My hobbies are softball, hiking, and being outside. I took Journalism because I wanted to try something new, and to expand my writing skills. My hope for the school newspaper is that it brings us closer as a school community. 

Hi, my name is Gio Certa and I am a freshman. I play basketball and run track. Outside of school, I play lacrosse, and some of my hobbies are fishing and working out. I hope to represent the freshman class well in the school newspaper.

Hi! My name is Chloe Damico and I am a freshmen. Some of my hobbies are soccer, reading, listening to music, and spending time with my friends and family. I joined journalism so I can improve my writing and be more involved in what's going around our school.

Hi! My name is Brayden Ehrman and I am a freshman. I play lacrosse for a club in Pittsburgh called True Lacrosse. I am also a Boy Scout with Troop 186 in Natrona Heights. My hope for journalism is to increase our school's social media presence, and to provide more information to the SJHS community. I want to leave a mark here at Saint Joseph, and to become more responsible in the future.

Hi, my name is Anna Kreinbrook and I am a senior. My hobbies include basketball, volleyball, softball, and hanging out with friends. My hope for the school newspaper is to inform students about what is going on at SJHS and in the community. I plan to study business and play basketball in college. 

Hello, I am Sydney McKinzie and I am a freshman. Saint Joe's holds a special place in my heart with all of its activities to do during the year. I am looking forward to our school musical. I love dancing. It makes me feel connected to myself, and I always know God is there to watch me, even when I need to get back up again.  I hope to write articles that students will enjoy reading and find something fun to laugh about!

Hi, my name is Courtney Mentecki. I am a sophomore. I am participating in the journalism elective this year. My hobbies outside of school are listening to music and sleeping. I took journalism because I wanted to experience something new, and my hope for the school newspaper is to bring our school together.

Hi, my name is Jamie Noonan and I am a senior. A few of my hobbies include playing softball and volleyball for school as well as travel softball for Pittsburgh Spirit. I took journalism this year to try something new for my last year of high school. Next year I am going to attend Waynesburg University where I will play softball and major in business and sports management. 

Hi! My name is Kalyda O’Connor and I am a senior. Some hobbies I have are playing volleyball, basketball, and softball, and spending time with my friends. I took journalism this year to try something new. My hope for journalism is to spread positivity and awareness. I plan to study secondary education with a focus of biology. 

Hi! My name is Meredith Zendarski and I am a junior. My hobbies are cheerleading, golfing, and spending time with my friends and family. I loved how involved the editors were last year, and I would love to see the same this year. I would love to see more student interaction.
