Hi guys today I'm going to talk about Nelson Mandela! So lets get started. Nelson Mandela was a really BIG hero because he was important for South Africa. He stop racism in South Africa. Nelson Mandela was born on July 18th, 1918, in Transkei, South Africa. His full name is Nelson Rolihalhal Mandela. His father's name is Gadla Henry Mphakanyiswa but Nelson wasn't given his name until his first day of school. In fact, his teacher gave the name Nelson to him. Nelson Mandela was the first black president in South Africa. He spent 27 years in prison for trying to overthrow the discrimination government. After Nelson left prison he worked to achieve human rights, so everyone in South Africa can have a better future. Nelson Mandela was in prison from 1962 to 1990. He became a president in South Africa in 1994 and he retired in 1999. Nelson became famous for his long fight against bad government and treating people unfairly because for their race of skin colour. Nelson Mandela was bringing people together and for everyone to live in peace. Nelson did all of these stuff because he was trying to make peace in the world and trying to make people come together a one and STOP racism. Black and white people are the same, they are a human they have a heart, everyone has all the rights to live in peace and not to make racist. Nelson Mandela fought for equal rights for black south Africans so that they would have the same rights as the white people. For example, the rights to travel freely within South Africa. Nelson Mandela was and remains a strong supporter of social and human rights.

My Opinion:

My opinion is all people are same no matter what skin you have we all are the same. In fact we should STOP racist. Everyone hs all the rights no matter what!!
