Hello my name is jack and today I will be talking about the Sochi winter Olympic games. I will be talking about the mascots(info about them) and 3 sports
Mascots
The Polar Bear
Beyond the arctic circle on a shelf of ice there lives a Polar Bear. In his home, everything is made out of ice and snow: his snow shower, his bed, his computer and even his weight-lifting
equipment. The Polar Bear was brought up by Arctic explorers from a early age.
The Hare
The Hare is the busiest in the winter forest. Her friends are always amazed: just how find the time to do so much. For the little doe hare not only at the forest academy and helps
her mum in the family restaurant, "The Forest Dam", but also takes part in all sporting events.
The Leopard
The Leopard is a rescuer and mountain-climber who lives in the uppermost branches of a huge tree, on the highest peak of the snowy mountains in the Caucasus. He is always
prepared to help those in need, and on a number of occasions has rescued nearby villages.
Sports
Alpine Skiing
Ten events make up the Olympic Alpine Skiing program, five for men and five for ladies.

Freestyle Skiing
The Olympic Freestyle Skiing events include Mogul Skiing, Aerials, Ski Cross, Ski Half Pipe and Ski Slope Style. Ski Half Pipe and Ski Slope Style were added to the Olympics in 2011.
Both men and women participate in each type of event.
Snowboard
There are ten Snowboard events in the Olympic games.

Torch Run
The Sochi 2014 organizing committee together with the presenting partners for the Sochi 2014 Torch Run. The torch weights nearly 1.8KG, 95cm tall, 14.5cm wide and 54mm deep.
The torch and it's component parts have been put through numerous tests, and have been tested in the harshest of conditions. 14000 torches will be produced.
