Over the break, I went to India for a month! We went there to relax, meet relatives, and to see the Taj Mahal. We live in the west part of India, in Ahemdabad, Gujarat. When I got on the airplane, I was so excited to go to India. I was going there after 4 years, I was so thrilled. We were on the airplane, Jet Airways, a flight which was a connecting flight. During the flight, I was trying to visualize how India would look like after 4 years. I tried to remember the house we live in and the neighborhood which I used to play in. The food on the plane wasn't very good. I took the vegetarian meal so I got rice, some yogurt, some fruits, some roti and some curry, it was really boring to eat that for all 3 meals. Our first stop was Brussels, which is in Belgium.We landed early in the morning so it was pretty dark and I couldn't see anything outside. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the world famous chocolate from there, but I still got to see a sunrise in Brussels before my next flight.
As we boarded on the next flight, my Dad told me it was going to be a little longer since we are going to land in New Delhi, India. I had already planned what I was going to do for the rest of the plane ride, watch a lot of MOVIES!!!! There were tons of movies to watch on the plane, the were Hollywood movies, then there were Bollywood movies, kids movies, and t.v. shows such as Phineas And Ferb. There were also music videos, games, and a navigation system that could tell where we were and how long it would take to get there. I enjoyed the flight very much and I was super excited to land in New Delhi.
After landing in Delhi, I had butterflies in my stomach! I was so eager to meet my Uncle, Aunt, and my hilarious cousins. We got off the plane and sat in a bus for 5 minutes, it was a very bumpy ride. We got off at the waiting area of the airport which goes to the Ahemdabad domestic airport. We waited for a few minutes and then we boarded the next flight. It was pretty short, just for half an hour. I took a video of the taking off and landing part. When I landed, I was really excited to see my Aunt and Uncle. They came to pick us up and we drove for an hour to our house. I can't wait for all the adventures I am going to get during my vacation.
