The subject of my image is of A glass jar holding a succulent in Mrs. Kurry's room. The photo was made by focussing on my subject, and leaving the background unfocussed. I like this picture because of its selective focus and the unintentional informal balance. The elements of design used most predominately in this photo are color, informal balance, and contrast. Some composition rules and techniques I used are selective focus, informal balance, and low horizon line. This photo relates to my life because succulents are pretty neat, and I own several of them. One thing that I would change in this image is the angle I took it from. I say this because if I were to take the picture from a bit further to the right, I would have captured more of the jar, and I would have also captured more of the succulent.
