Harrison Johnson

The subject of my creation is the date that the United States was founded. The setting is a zoomed up picture of the American flag, with the date in big letters in front of it. I first sketched this design in 4H pencil. After that I then traced everything either in blue or red, and then filled it in. I used pencil, and colored sharpie for this drawing. When this assignment was assigned I didn't how what or how I wanted to do it. I decided to draw the date of when we were founded because its a very important moment.

Some techniques shown in this drawing are how it's a zoomed in image. This project evolved because I first left white stars in between the blue letters, but I didn't like how it looked so I filled them in. Also the red lines weren't solid, so I went back over them to make them a more solid color.
