Scratch Board

the subject of this scratchboard piece is my dog. In order to create this piece, I used the tools provided to scratch away the black from the board. I chose to create this artwork because I didn't have very many photos that had great value when it was turned black and white. Since I do photography, I used one from an assignment in that class. In the beginning of the project I accidentally got rid of too much, making and area whiter than it should be. I also didn't do the hair in the same direction as the photo. I had originally had the collar hatching the same as the fur and to fix it I made it so it was cross hatching. This project relates to my life because my dog is a big part of it. If I could redo the project, I would print the picture with more value. This is because you can't see half of the face.
